Pressure cooker

Best purchase ever. Took me a good while to find the right one. I wanted a stove top cooker, not the electric instant pot type of pressure cooker.

Every year when the weather cools down is when I pull it out and start making stews. 30 minutes stews. How amazing is that. Perfect. Easy. Fast.

Last night I made a lamb stew in it with a prime lamb leg. Beautiful cut of meat. I diced it up into large chunks.

Heated up some olive oil in the pot. Put in the meat with some minced garlic and dried rosemary. Seared off the meat. Added in the vegetables, which were diced potatoes, carrots, celery, and mushrooms. Added in enough stock (you can use whatever flavour you’d like. I used beef.) to just cover the meat and veg. Bring it to the boil. Cover and pressure!! Lol. Turn it down to a mrdium high heat. And just let it sit there cooking for around 30 minutes.

My little trick to let the pressure out when it’s all finished…. stick the pot in the sink and run cold water over the lid. In a few seconds the release button will unlock and you can open it. No steamy mess.

You can serve it with which ever side as tou please. I served it up with some sweet potato mash. And there you have it.

Perfect yummy easy melt in your mouth goodness. šŸ™‚
